Fact 1. A Diamond is one of the hardest natural substances on earth. The Diamonds that we see today were formed due to immense heat.

Fact 2. A Diamond can only  be scratched by another Diamond. Diamond are nearly 100% carbon and there are made up of a single element.  







Fact 3. Diamonds have been valued and coveted for thousands years. There is evidence that diamonds were being collected  and traded in india as early as the fourth century BC.






Fact 4. The largest Diamond ever discovered was called the Cullinan diamond and weighed in at an amazing 3106 carats  or 1.
